So facebook has apparently put in a rule where you cannot have fake names, I say FUCK THEM!

When I am on the internet I use a fake name, mainly because of security. I do not want people to know my real name, I do not trust the internet for many good reasons! Lee Dassin became my unofficial pen name back when I was in year 7 and it has stuck with me since then.

When I joined facebook I did not want people from my high school, an indeed any person I did not like, to be able to find me and add me as a friend. I know you can ignore people, but I would rather them not find me.

People who I learn to trust over time may learn my real name, because they have earn the right to know the real me. But I will not shout my name to the world, Lee Dassin is my name through my stories and through my pictures.

If this is the end of FB for me I will be very upset, but I will NOT use my real name or anything relating to my real name online! I know people hide their identity to break the law, but I hide mine to keep my distance from those people.

Seriously if I cannot use a fake name on facebook I'll just leave it! I know heaps of my friends who use fake or altered names online for the fun of it, the people who are their friends know who they are.... that's why they made them their friends. For all those who are not their friends they will not know the person, wasn't that the point of FB? You add the friends you want to add?

It just dawned on me... seriously this better be a scam. What kind of site asks you to send scans of bills/passports/birth certs over the internet? Not many people have that power, especially over the internet and a FREE chat site :S
