It is one thing to draw a King stag, it's size is seen in it's antlers. But for a Bear it must be compared against the only thing that will do it justice, another bear.
This is Ursa the Grizzly Bear King, shown alongside a normal Bear of it's own kind. It is only now that one can truely appreciate the size and power of the great King.

The background to this was minimal, you can still see fingerprints from where I smudged the greylead- but this was my first ever drawing of a Bear so I was focused more on the size and power of the Bears themselves. Enjoy
'is awed' You did well for not having drawn a bear before! And yeah, the comparison with the 'regular sized' bear helps give it more context. You did great with the pose and physique! And the shading's cool too Good work, I hope you do more soon.
very well done! You might want to consider studying the bear anatomy, just so you don't make mistakes. Although for the first time doing a bear it's very good. But the smaller bears mouth seems a bit to pointy and it's nose a bit big. I love the mouth that is open it's seems flawless.
Yeah, I improvised on the turning bear The mouth open one I had a picture reference, thanks for the tip. I will look more into Bear anatomy because I wish to draw more of that Chapter with Ursa and his chase of the two other Kings.
I love the mouth that is open it's seems flawless.
Thank you
the texture on this sketch...what kind of paper did you use?
